Happy Monday! Today we're going over Head Change solventless hash rosin! Fried Banana Oreoz, to be exact. Check it out locally at Easy Mountain and I believe Mojo as well!
Fried Banana Oreoz is a cross of Oreoz x Platinum Kush Mintz x Banana OG. This batch is testing at a total THC of 83.37% with D9-THC at .81%, THCa at 94.46%, CBD at .65%, CBDa at 1.12%, CBN at .88%, and last but not least, the terpenes, which are coming in at 8.27%! With D3-Carene, Limonene, and B-Caryophyllene being the top three. The hash notes read, "Cake Cooling on a Windowsill."
The over all smell of it is pretty pungent. Very musky, earthy, peppery, and citrusy. Vaguely reminiscent of a citrusy flavored cake. The flavor itself is quire complex. D3-Carene is responsible for a good bit of the earthy musk and some of the herbal and citrusy undertones. The Limonene brings more of the citrus and some sweetness. And the b-Caryophyllene is responsible for the peppery and musky flavors. That pungent musk carries across from the scent and notes of citrus and pepper weave themselves through. It gives it almost a slightly minty finish. A very nice flavor profile. Earthy and cakey with a chemical twang from Limonene and b-Caryophyllene. Full of familiar flavors combined to create something unique.
That brings me to the effects! This was such a relaxing and calm strain. Lightly uplifting with very relaxing and borderline sedating qualities. The euphoric side of things had a lightly uplifting effect with a very calm focus. The body high was gentle but melty. Just melting away the pain with a wash of warm relief. Almost like a freshly tumbled blanket. Just such a pleasant strain to use before getting comfy in bed for a movie or something relaxing. This strain worked great for pain relief, appetite, mood/mental health. I think just about everything I personally use it for. I think the D3-Carene acts and tastes a lot like b-Myrcene. More similar in effects but loosely similar in flavor. I'd be interested to try two basically identical strains just with b-Myrcene and D3-Carene swapped on each. Just to see how similar.
Anyway, I think that about wraps it up. I'm really impressed with this stuff. I love solventless and I love that they're bringing something more affordable to the table as far as rosin goes!
And as always, melt shots are brought to you by Headington Art Gallery!
