The word I was looking for in the video was Tisane, pronounced Tea-san. It's an herbal blend that doesn't have any actual tea leaves. Tea leaves derive directly from the Camelia Sinensis. Tisane blends can have basically any other blend of herbs. There's some herbal knowledge for you that has nothing to do with Cannabis! lol
Today we're going over some Cherry Limeade by Buoyant Bob! It's a cross of Cherry Pie x Black Lime Reserve. This batch is testing with total Cannabinoids at 88.97%, total THC of 76.2% with THCa at 82.92%, CBD at .17%, CBDa at .2%, and the total Terpenes test out to 8.61% with a-Pinene on top with 2.25%, b-Myrcene at 1.79%, and d-Limonene at 1.33%. As you can tell, the top three terpenes only make up for a little under 5.5%, which means there are definitely more Terps putting in work behind the scenes.
Anyway, let's get into it. The scent on this comes across as very piney and citrusy. It almost creates kind of a spiced citrus smell with a little musk lingering in the back. The general flavor is very reminiscent of a cherry limeade. It even has an after-taste that lingers similarly to that of any kind of sweet and tart drink you may have. The a-Pinene is definitely what brings a lot of the spice, tang, and underlying woody tones while the b-Myrcene and d-Limonene kind of work together to create a fruity citrus flavor. And they all together seem to push that cherry flavor along with blending to create that general fruity and tart flavor profile. It's definitely a pretty complex flavor. I'd love to know what other Terpenes are at play. I'm sure there are others playing into these flavors. Maybe something like b-Caryophyllene and Nerolidol follow the top three. Or maybe even something less common.
But let's go ahead and get into the effects. I found this strain to be a pretty balanced hybrid. It had a nice, chilled out experience. It's lightly euphoric and uplifting but the a-Pinene offers some calming aspects to the euphoria rather than being super intense and "creative." This is due to a-Pinene negating some of the intense and less desirable effects of THC. I find that having the a-Pinene present also balances out the d-Limonene. Usually d-Limonene has a bit more brightness to it, for me. But with the right complementary Terps, it really adds a nice touch. And of course, the b-Myrcene can be a tad bit sedating and relaxing but it kind of pushes some of the euphoria and intensity behind THC. I'd say it's a great all day strain with maybe slightly more sedating qualities at a higher dose. It worked well for pain relief, appetite, racing thoughts, depressive issues, fatigue, and for some may be the right kind of relaxing to use as a sleep aid. But that could potentially be more subjective than some other things. A-Pinene just happens to be a pretty strong relaxing or sedating Terpene for me.
Alright, well, I'm typing this on Weedtube and I am definitely out of space for Instagram. So, I'll be having to cut some out. Check out Weedtube for the whole write up! And thanks for reading along! I'm glad to have found a nice community of Missouri stoners and some cool out of state folks. And of course, last but not least, the quartz banger you see in the melt shot is from Headington Art Gallery!
