We work out to be healthier, stronger, toned, fit, etc. But how often do we work our gratitude muscles?
If we deal with health issues like eating disorders, depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse, ADHD, it's hard to get into that space of thankfulness because we're stuck.
When dealing with my bulimia, I couldn't even flex my gratitude muscles because my thoughts were constantly fixated on how I felt about my body image. "You're not good enough. So you better fix that with a 4-mile run, skip a meal, or both!"
But as my bulimia started to heal throughout the years with a lot of nature, fitness, and cannabis therapy, something extraordinary came from it.
My heart opened to a new chapter of what I could and should be thankful for.
Instead of binging & purging food, I could be thankful to have food! It takes money to buy it, a farmer to grow it, and many other things just to get on my plate.

There are blessings all around us daily to recognize, but if we don't use those muscles, receiving them is challenging.
It's like if you don't use it, you lose it!
