Johnny's journey is one that could leave anyone bitter. Eight years spent in prison over growing a plant. Eight years spent away from friends and family. But when you hear him speak about the community in Humboldt County and how they welcomed him home, you can hear the love in his voice.

Johnny emerged from challenges that could set anyone adrift in life and chose to return to his roots. He now owns and operate Huckleberry Hill Farms, an Emerald Cup award-winning cannabis farm in Southern Humboldt. And one of the first cannabis farms with a tourism license. The strains Johnny grows to this day, came from a strain his mother cultivated decades ago.
