Hiking High havesting Sacred Maile’ to make leis

Hiking high is like medicine for the soul! The dynamic duo, Mountain Mystic and Bad Granny are out harvesting maile to make leis for a ceremony. Hiking on lava is not graceful but necessary to achieve our goal. Bad Granny knew a great place to pick the maile for the leis. Across the lava field and through the brush we went. Mtn. Mystic was even able to gather some seeds to plant on her new homestead land in honor of her mother. Always care for the earth that cares for us.
