US dispensary closure list

About 50% of the United States population is currently under a stay at home order due to the CoronaVirus pandemic. Many states have closed nonessential businesses and of course it's up to the states discretion to determine what an essential business is.

With that in mind, some states have deemed cannabis dispensaries as essential while others have shut their doors! Here I have compiled a list with the most up to date information as of March 29, 2020. Things can always change so contact your local dispensary with any questions.

STATES WITH RECREATIONAL AND MEDICAL CANNABIS

WASHINGTON: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

OREGON: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

CALIFORNIA: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

NEVADA: Both medical and recreational deemed essential *delivery only*

ALASKA: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

COLORADO: Both medical and recreational deemed essential *curbside pick-up*

ILLINOIS: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

MICHIGAN: Both medical and recreational deemed essential

VERMONT: Only medical dispensaries are deemed essential

MASSACHUSETTS: Only medical dispensaries are deemed essential

STATES WITH ONLY MEDICAL CANNABIS

MONTANA: Medical is deemed essential

MINNESOTA: Medical is deemed essential

NEW MEXICO: Medical is deemed essential

LOUISIANA: Medical is deemed essential

OHIO: Medical is deemed essential

WEST VIRGINIA: Medical is deemed essential

FLORIDA: Dispensaries deemed nonessential and are closed

DELAWARE: Medical is deemed essential

NEW JERSEY: Medical is deemed essential

RHODE ISLAND: Medical is deemed essential

CONNECTICUT: Medical is deemed essential

NEW YORK: Medical is deemed essential

NEW HAMPSHIRE: Medical is deemed essential

HAWAII: Medical is deemed essential

OKLAHOMA: Medical is deemed essential

PENNSYLVANIA: Medical is deemed essential

The following states have either not gone into a stay at home order or haven't had non essential business closures. If you reside in one of the states below, contact your local dispensary for more information.

NORTH DAKOTA, UTAH, ARIZONA, ARKANSAS, MISSOURI and MAINE

Most of the dispensaries that are still open have changed their typical operations. The most common theme is ordering online for curbside pickup at your favorite dispensary as the lobbies and shop areas are closed for social distancing. Just make sure you contact your local dispensary to get their procedures, as every state and dispensary is different.
